With a burning desire to expand her knowledge and skill set, Abigail made a bold decision to go back to school after 15 years.
After working in luxury retail sales for many years, Abigail faced an unexpected turn of events when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Like countless others, she found herself out of a job, facing uncertainty, and contemplating her next steps. However, Abigail saw this setback as an opportunity for personal growth and decided to embrace a transformative journey.
Despite the challenges that came with balancing work, family, and education, she pursued her MBA, driven by the belief that education holds the power to unlock new doors and opportunities.
Through her teaching, she saw the transformative effect of entrepreneurship and how it empowered individuals to take control of their lives and futures.
As Abigail completed her MBA, she began to rediscover her passion for teaching and helping others succeed. She found herself drawn to entrepreneurship and saw the potential for individuals to create their own paths and build lasting legacies. Inspired by her own experiences and recognizing the need for guidance in areas such as financial literacy and real estate, Abigail decided to share her knowledge and expertise with others.
Abigail’s journey led her to become an instructor, teaching entrepreneurship classes at a local community organization. She witnessed firsthand the impact that education and empowerment can have on individuals, as they gained confidence, honed their skills, and charted their own paths to success. Through her teaching, she saw the transformative effect of entrepreneurship and how it empowered individuals to take control of their lives and futures.
The name “Colibri” which means “hummingbird” in Spanish and is a sacred symbol for the Taino Indians; symbolizes agility, resilience, and the ability to thrive in diverse environments—traits that Abigail embodies and aims to instill in her clients.
It was during this time that Abigail envisioned Colibri Impact LLC, a consultancy that would combine her passion for education, real estate, financial literacy, and wealth building. Colibri Impact LLC aims to provide individuals and communities with the tools, knowledge, and support necessary to thrive in their own entrepreneurial journeys. Whether it’s through real estate guidance, financial literacy programs, or legacy building strategies, Abigail and her team are dedicated to making a positive impact and empowering individuals to achieve their goals.
